Stevie Nicks Interviews Lana Del Rey About New Album For 'V Magazine'

Just weeks before the release of her new album, Lust for Life, drops on July 21, Lana Del Rey graces the newest cover of V Magazine, which hits newsstands on July 6. Coincidentally, Stevie Nicks, one of the LP collaborators and fellow "witchy sister," interviewed the pop darling about her anthemic new project.

In a preview for the feature, which was released on Tuesday (June 27) with accompanying photography by Steven Klein, LDR spoke about how grateful she felt to incorporate herself into this particular project. "I feel lucky to be able to speak my mind through music right in the present moment," the 32-year-old told the magazine, before name-dropping one of her favorite album cuts called "Yosemite."

"This record is really different. When there were the women’s marches, I was writing about that. There was enough space in my mind to really absorb everything. I think I was very much in the mix of culture in California over the last five years, but it feels good to feel more connected to a wider world," she later said of the project.

Nicks shared an equal relation to being present and reveled in how positive it is to make an impact on listeners. "My mom used to always say to me, 'You're on a mission here. People out there who are hurting or are sad or have something horrible going on in their lives, when they walk into your house of love or your house of music, you are going to take them on your own little adventure that’s going to pull them out of their life for a minute. And hopefully, when they leave you, they’re going to take a little bit of you with them and they’re going to feel better the next day," she reminisced.  V108 is available for pre-order

Even more Lana Del Rey is reportedly coming our way later this week when her new single, "Summer Bummer," featuring A$AP Rocky and Playboy Cati drops. See below for LDR's photoshoot with V Magazine.
