Sean Allan Krill Says 'Jagged Little Pill' Was The Soundtrack Of His Life

On this week's Inside Broadway, Michael Riedel and Christine Nagy chat with Sean Allan Krill, now starring in Broadway's Jagged Little Pill.

Krill talks about how the music of Alanis Morissette was a huge influence in his life, and how he is hopeful that the musical will show a new generation of people just how awesome Broadway can be.

"I was not one of those people who was a huge Broadway guy I hate to admit. I studied acting in college and I had my definite favorites. When Jagged Little Pill came out in the 90s, it was formative for me. It was a huge album in my life. It took me through the greatest breakup and meeting the love of my life. It was two years that Jagged Little Pill was the soundtrack of my life."

Jagged Little Pill is now playing at the Broadhurst Theatre. The production stars Elizabeth Stanley, Sean Allan Krill, Lauren Patten, Celia Rose Gooding, Kathryn Gallagher, Derek Klena and Antonio Cipriano with direction by Diane Paulus and a book by Diablo Cody.

The Healys are a picture-perfect family — but looks can be deceiving. When the cracks beneath the surface begin to show, they must choose between maintaining the status quo or facing harsh truths about themselves, their community, and the world around them. Featuring Morissette’s iconic songs including “Ironic,” “You Oughta Know,” and “Hand In My Pocket,” plus brand-new songs written for the show, JAGGED LITTLE PILL comes to the stage with music supervision, orchestrations, and arrangements by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Tom Kitt (Next to Normal), and choreography by Olivier Award winner and frequent Beyoncé collaborator Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.
