This was one of MJ's greatest performances in our opinion. He started out by standing stone still for 90 seconds of silence, leaving all the audience wondering what he will do next. MJ brought the big guns and played two of his biggest hits, "Billie Jean" and "Black and White", for the crowd. He finished off with "Heal The World" and the crowd was on their feet!
Paul McCartney, 2005
Paul McCartney pleased the crowd by blazing through a few classics with no glitz, no fuss, but just his own crowd-slaying confidence. McCartney kicked off the festivities with "Drive My Car" and turned "Live and Let Die" into a rousing stadium-shaker.
Janet Jackson & Justin Timberlake, 2004
This was the day the phrase "wardrobe malfunction" entered the American vocabulary. Viewers debated about whether Justin Timberlake accidentally or "accidentally" exposed Janet Jackson's breast for the crowd to see. The world may never know.
The Rolling Stones, 2006
Mick and the band got down to business with just three songs, but all of them being epic crowd pleasers. The lineup included "Start Me Up", "Rough Justice", and the inevitable "Satisfaction".

Madonna charged into her Super Bowl XLVI halftime performance fueled by the huge buzz for her then-forthcoming album "MDNA". The Queen of Pop wowed the crowd by performing a barrage of her greatest hits such as "Like A Prayer", "Music", and "Vogue".
Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, 2009
The Boss commanded viewers to "put the chicken fingers down" before proceeding to rock the Tampa stadium for the next 12 minutes. Springsteen's set was proof that good things come to those who wait. The E-Street Band rocked through a four-song set of crowd favorites such as "Born To Run", and "Glory Days."
Aerosmith, Britney Spears, N'Sync, Nelly, & Mary J. Blige, 2001
This diverse lineup has a little something for everyone, which is why it was loved by so many. Steven Tyler and Aerosmith were the first-round picks for this performance back on 2001, opening with 'N Sync's "Bye, Bye, Bye." The two bands traded songs and verses until the stage exploded with the addition of Britney Spears, Mary J. Blige, and Nelly for a show stopping version of "Walk This Way."
Beyonce, 2013
So crazy right now! Beyonce emerged from a cloud of smoke prepared to take on some of her greatest hits, such as "Love On Top" and "Crazy in Love". Queen Bey created a Destiny's Child Reunion, bringing out Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams to sing their smash hit, "Independent Woman". Beyonce had the crowd in tears when she finished her set with "Halo".
Prince, 2007
Prince exceeded all expectations in this performance in the middle of a raging Miami thunderstorm. Prince sang all his hits including "All Along The Watchtower", "Let's Go Crazy", and "Proud Mary". The number that topped the performance off was an epic guitar-hero style jam during "Purple Rain".
U2, 2002
U2 created one of the greatest live-TV rock & roll moments of all time with this performance. Just a few months post 9/11, U2 made this a tribute to the victims. The performance kicked off with "Beautiful Day", with the names of the deceased on a giant screen. At the end of the performance, Bono ripped open his jacket to reveal the American flag sewn inside. This tribute had even the toughest football players weeping buckets!
