New mom Hoda Kotb got an early Mother's Day surprise when her baby Haley Joy showed up to the TODAY show set this morning! Kotb returned from maternity leave last month and is celebrating her first Mother's Day with little Haley whom she adopted in February. "I'm holding my baby on Mother's Day weekend," she said. "I'm so happy."
Haley made her first television appearance at only a couple months old! Her sweet, gummy smile instantly won the nations hearts as viewers took to social media to express their love for Haley. "She's looking at herself in the monitor!" Matt Lauer laughed, as Kotb started a game of "pass the Haley" with her fellow TODAY Show anchors.
Haley even got a little backstage action! Thanks to live TV, the world got to share in Kotb's happiness and excitement and we're so glad we got to witness it. Happy first Mother's Day to Hoda and all of the other mamas out there!
