Pascale Naessens does it all. She is a best-selling culinary author, a leading voice for pure and healthy eating, natural food expert, and an acclaimed ceramic artist! Pascale stopped by The Public Library Podcast to talk to Helen Little about her new cookbook, Pure & Simple: A Natural Food Way of Life. Pascale has sold over 1.5 million books worldwide, and this cookbook is her first American release!
Pascale shared that Pure & Simple is much more than a cookbook, it is a cookbook with a philosophy! The author views regular cookbooks as 'too narrow', claiming they are only about recipes, nothing else. Pascale's book is different because it includes anecdotes about different recipes and how they connect to people, food, nature, culture, and one's health. Pure & Simple also dives in to Pascale's life as a model and how she got into healthy gourmet cooking after struggling with her food habits after working in the modeling industry for several years.
Pascale opens up to Helen about what it's like going from supermodel to superfood expert, why her cookbook has a philosophy, and much more. Listen to the full interview below and be sure to follow her on Instagram and Twitter!
