Mandy Harvey lost all her hearing when she was 18 years old due to a connective tissues disorder, which deteriorated her hearing nerves. Her lifelong dream was to be a singer, and the musician didn't let her condition stop her from pursuing her dream!

Last night on America's Got Talent, Harvey opened up about her journey back to music. “I was singing since I was 4,” she explained before her song. “I left music after I lost my hearing and then figured out how to get back into singing with muscle memory, using visual turners and trusting my pitch.”

Harvey strummed her ukulele to her original song called “Try” — a tune she wrote to remind her to continue to pursue her dreams. Harvey's words brought all of the judges to their feet, including earning Simon Cowell's coveted Golden Buzzer, which puts her directly through to the upcoming live rounds.

Take a look at her inspiring performance below!
