George W. Bush Unhappy About Current State Of U.S. Politics

Former President George W. Bush is warning about the state of play in American politics.  Speaking in New York, Bush said the political climate is divisive and seems more vulnerable to conspiracy theories and outright fabrication.  He also noted that "bigotry seems emboldened."

Bush also warned about Russian interference in U.S. elections.  He said the Kremlin aims to turn Americans against each other.  Bush called Russia's efforts broad, systemic and "stealthy."

Meantime, the nation's 43rd President said the U.S. must not turn inward and should embrace a partnership in the global economy.
