Are you an emoji enthusiast? You’re in luck! In less than two weeks, on Saturday July 14th the second-ever Emojicon is coming to the Bell House in Brooklyn, New York.
Digital communication has become the easiest way to connect with the people in our lives, but messages can sometimes lack personality and vocal tone. Emojis help us communicate emotionally with one another by providing us with the symbols we crave to add personality into our digital conversations. The mission of Emojicon, as well as Emojination the community developed to democratize emoji approval, is to make emojis more accessible and to have them welcome everyone no matter who you are.
Emojicon BK 2018 is a “celebration of all things emoji” according to Jeanne Brooks, cofounder of Emojination. It will be a day of conversations drawing a number of emoji aficionados from all over. Speakers and guests will provide attendees with conversations about the future of emojis, digital communication, globalization, and more. The night will end with Emojicon’s signature Emoji Party with emoji-filled performances, dancing, and a spelling bee. To register visit Emojicon’s website.
