Last Broadway In Bryant Park Of Summer 2018: 8/16 Recap

Thursday, August 16th was our final Broadway in Bryant Park of Summer 2018. We thought last week was the hottest one this year, but this was a new record! It was 93 degrees in the park, but that didn’t stop an amazing show. We had performances from Be More Chill, Gettin’ The Band Back Together, Once On This Island, and School Of Rock The Musical. Week after week the performers continue to blow us away. We can't believe it has to come to an end!

Check out the highlights from the finale of our favorite summer tradition:

This week's show opened with the cast of Be More Chill performing "Squip Song" and "The Smartphone Hour." The crowd went wild for this talented cast.

Second, Gettin' The Band Back Together made us WISH we could join their band. The cast wowed us with a performance of "Life Without Parole."

Next, the cast of Once On This Island performed "Waiting For Life" with show-stopping vocals.

Finally, the cast of School of Rock made us wish that we were back in school and could take lessons in Mr. Schneebly’s class. They rocked the stage with performances of classics such as “If Only You Would Listen” and “Stick It To The Man.”

And just like that Broadway in Bryant Park – Summer 2018 is over! We have had the best time over the past 6 weeks watching all of the amazing performances from Broadway’s best musicals. Thank you to all of the performers and to everyone that came out to our favorite summer tradition. We’ll see you next year!
