Restaurants around Hoboken and Jersey City are pitching in to help those affected by COVID-19 by providing free food to those in need.

During this very stressful time, it is easy to get caught up in big statistics and scary headlines. It is important to take a step away and remember the good in humankind, like these eateries in Hoboken and Jersey City are.

Jersey Mike's of Hoboken is providing free meals to children from PreK to 12th grade from 11:00-2:00 Monday through Friday. According to HobokenGirl, children are able to grab a delicious, completely free meal from the sandwich shop. Mario’s Classic Pizza in Hoboken is doing a similar initiative for veterans and senior citizens - providing a free hot meal to individuals that fall under those categories.

In Jersey City, Ani Ramen provided 15,000 meals to those in need. They documented the experience on their Instagram page and urged patrons to purchase gift cards online during this difficult time. We thank all the restaurants and local businesses that are keeping it positive and making a difference during this global pandemic.
