Here's How Lori Loughlin is 'Mentally Preparing' For Her Jail Sentence

Back in May, Lori Loughlin pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit wire and mail fraud in the college admissions scam. Three months later, a judge accepted Loughlin's plea deal and sentenced the Fuller House actress to two months in prison. As she waits to serve her time, Loughlin is "mentally preparing" herself.

"She's mentally preparing for this. She wants to go in, do her time, and get out," a source told People. "She wants it to be as uneventful as possible, and she wants this to be a distant memory by 2021."

Loughlin must report for her sentence by November 19. She will serve her time at a medium security correction facility in Victorville, California. The facility offers a number of amenities that other correctional institutions do not. The prison's website details a number of fitness and creative classes offered to their inmates, including yoga, pilates and origami. Music lessons for a number of different instruments, such as saxophone, accordion and ukulele, are also offered.

"She is going to set her jaw and do her time," the source continued. "Of course she’s dreading it, but she’s resigned that it’s the way to get this behind her. She’s already thinking about how 2021 will be better for her, and she’ll be able to move forward."

According to the source, Loughlin is now "open to learn the lessons that she needs to learn" from this experience after initially pleading not guilty to the charges brought against her. "There’s some humility there that people didn’t see before," the source shared. "She’s going to learn what she can from the experience, and hopefully become an even better person from this."
