NYU Langone trustee and KiDS of NYU Langone co-chair, Susie Block Casdin, has been involved with Hassenfeld Children's Hospital from the very beginning over 20 years ago.
Casdin tells Cubby, Christine, and Rich Kaminski that she decided to get involved with the hospital because of their commitment to taking care of every child. Hassenfeld Children's Hospital gives everyone a level playing field for the best possible care.
"The type of people that we're dealing with here they are so smart and so selfless. They take care of these families and these kids in a way that just goes above and beyond and I think it's important that we support them continually in their effort to do that," Casdin says. "They attend to everything that's going on. They address the siblings needs, they address financial needs and bringing in financial support and getting car services for families that are outpatient who come and go and can't afford to do that and hotel. It is incredibly important that we continue t support these efforts. I'm so proud that we're here in the heart of New York City and it's happening here."
