Mayor De Blasio Defends School Quarantine Rules

Mayor de Blasio is facing some criticism over his change to quarantine rules for schools in New York City.

If a student tests positive for Covid, other students no longer have to quarantine if they’ve been wearing a mask and they have maintained three feet of social distancing.

“Getting our kids back in school is about their health and wellbeing. Keeping them in school unless there is a specific reason to have them out. So, that's how we struck the balance,” de Blasio said.
