Jennifer Lopez has canceled her upcoming tour in order to spend time with her family. The announcement comes as rumors spread that she and her husband, Ben Affleck, are experiencing difficulties in their marriage.
According to People, Live Nation confirmed on Friday (May 31) that Lopez's This Is Me... Live tour has been canceled, with the company saying in a statement, "Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends." The tour was set to run from June to August as support for her latest album This Is Me... Now.
Lopez also spoke directly to her fans in a message shared on her On the JLo website explaining that she is "devastated" to cancel the tour but notes that it was "absolutely necessary."
"I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please know that I wouldn't do this if I didn't feel that it was absolutely necessary," she said, adding, "I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again. I love you all so much. Until next time..."
The site also notes that anyone who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster will be automatically refunded while those who bought tickets through third-party resale websites like StubHub and SeatGeek should reach out to the point of purchase for more details.
Some sources claim that the cancellation was not due to poor ticket sales; instead it is because Lopez is experiencing a sensitive time in her personal life, pointing to recent reports that her marriage to Affleck is in trouble, per Page Six.
Rumors regarding Lopez and Affleck's marriage have been gaining traction over the last several weeks, leading some to believe the couple, who tied the knot in 2022 after rekindling their relationship the year prior, are heading toward a divorce. The pair have reportedly been living separately amid "tension" in their marriage, though one source claimed they are "not over yet."
Affleck has been seen repeatedly without his wedding ring while Lopez recently "liked" a cryptic social media post about unhealthy relationships. She also shut down a reporter's question during an event when asked about the state of her relationship.
