Today Tugche Ayhan joined Cubby and Christine to talk about her involvment with Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital. Her daughter was diagnosed at a young age with cerebral palsy, epilepsy and global developmental delay which brought her to Hassenfeld.
Now she has become more involved with the hospital by joining the Sala Family Advisory Council. “Every month the council members weigh in providing input and perspectives on a range of topics. It is such an honor to sit down with this collective group. Each member has a story and each family member like me plays an important role in their child's care. The council embodies the partnership and the philosophy of care in which the clinicians, parents and families collaborate with one another at the patient level as well as at a planning programing, development and policy level.” The hospital listens to the feedback the council offers to make a better experience being in the hospital.
