Katharine McPhee Talks Acting In 'Waitress'

Katharine McPhee joined Cubby and Christine this morning to talk all about her time acting in the Broadway show Waitress.

"It’s really a great honor and I’m excited to be back. The show is having its final diner run. And it has had a really great run, it’s just shy of four years. I was fortunate enough to open the show in London, and the show’s still running there. To make my Broadway debut and then to open in London and to be asked to close it is a really nice honor. It’s a nice full circle."

The show will end its run at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre on January 5th, 2020. Waitress follows Jenna, a waitress and expert pie-maker who dreams of a way out of her small town and rocky marriage. The Tony Award nominated hit features original music and lyrics by 7-time Grammy nominee Sara Bareilles.
