Senior Pediatric Physical Therapist at Hassenfeld Children's Hospital, Nashwa Khalil, sat down with Cubby and Christine and explained the importance of physical therapy in treatment for children with cancer. Physical therapy is a way to rebuild the body so that kids can participate and enjoy regular kid activities.
Later, Khalil explained the importance of donation to Hassenfeld Children's Hospital, “There are so many moving pieces to make a place like Hasenfeld work. A lot of these pieces are not billable services. A lot of our services are pro bono which means we rely on these donations to help kids receive things like psycho therapy during treatment… As a listener if you want to be a part of this story, you can help these kids not only survive, but thrive."
September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and we're going gold for Hassenfeld. Join us and Go Gold: donate here.
