How about this! A Temple University professor and his brother came from way behind to go win $1 million on FOXs’ Beat Shazam last night! It was a teacher-themed episode, and Aaron Smith, who teaches Africology and African American Studies, said in a phone interview that he thought it was the greatest comeback in the show’s history. His older brother, Martin, was also on his team, and he teaches math in New Jersey.
For most of the show, the two didn’t win any money until a Shania Twain round put them over the top. They said they had a diverse taste in music which helped them along the way.Aaron said most of the money would help his family, as his wife had to leave her job after a car accident left her with a concussion.
