According to the New York Times advice columnist Caity Weaver you should stop texting "Ok" or "Yes" without an exclamation point or emoji. Why? Because it comes off as passive aggressive, dismissive, or angry. I think maybe when tone is hard to show in a text. But, If the other person understands the conversation then the point is moot.
