Simone Kelly Reveals How She Went from Self-Publishing to Multi-Book Deal

Simone Kelly stopped by to record an episode of The Public Library with Helen Little podcast and talk about her debut novel Like a Fly on the Wall. The book follows Jacques Berradi, a charming and gifted psychic, as he learns to cope with his family's past in the midst of helping an intriguing new client named Kylie. Jacques and Kylie go on a suspenseful, sensual, and even hilarious adventure in this book that will have you turning page after page. Thankfully, this is just the first book of this exciting series. These memorable characters will be back for more adventures soon enough.

This series sounds pretty incredible, right? Well, it turns out that Simone Kelly actually self-published Like a Fly on the Wall back in 2015. She devised her own social media marketing plan that eventually lead her to reconnecting with an old mentor on Linkedin. This was a key moment for Kelly that helped her lock down a multi-book publishing deal with HarperCollins.

It's inspiring for many aspiring writers out there to hear Kelly's story. Through her own will power, initiative, and belief in herself and her work, she was able to push herself to exactly where she wanted to be. It's great for readers, as well, because we get to experience Kelly's amazing books.
