Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital Ensures The Whole Family Is Taken Care Of

Nell Shanahan joins Cubby and Christine during our Hope for the Holidays Radiothon during the Sala power hour! She’s a long-time supporter of Sala Institute and Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital. Recently she became Chair of Sala’s Campaign Cabinet.

Shanahan explains, "The Sala Institute and the services it provides to the children and families at Hassenfeld Children's Hospital NYU Langone really ensures that the child and the family are held in an emotional spiritual and physical sense throughout the process of being hospitalized. They do that through a variety of programs and initiatives including Child Life creative art therapies, nutritional support, social work, palliative care, and all sorts of different programs and initiatives to support the child and to support the family through this experience."
