John O'Hurley On "Chicago's" Enduring Legacy

On this "In The Wings," Michael Riedel and Christine Nagy talk with actor John O'Hurley, best known as Mr. Peterman from Seinfeld, about playing Billy Flynn in Chicago over 2,000 times.

John O'Hurley falls in love with playing Billy Flynn every day. The role has not gotten old whatsoever. He states, "This is my 12th year doing the show (Chicago), I started in 2006 with my premiere. Somewhere during this run is my 2,000 performance. It is the best music Kander and Ebb have ever written. It is the best choreography that Bob Fosse ever put on stage. As it gets older, it endures. It's an example of a time gone by when you could walk out and hum music and sing lyrics. You don't get that anymore."

Michael describes John O'Hurley's performance as Billy Flynn as "the slickest, most polished, most charismatic, and devious Billy Flynn out there!"
