Erich Bergen On The Balance Of TV, Music, and Stage

On this "In The Wings," Michael Riedel and Christine Nagy chat with singer/actor Erich Bergen. Erich walks us through his career and how got to where he is today. You may know Erich from his work on CBS's Madame Secretary and/or Jersey Boys the movie.

While working on Jersey Boys, he had the opportunity to work under the direction of Clint Eastwood. Erich Bergen describes what it was like working with Clint Eastwood, "His greatest talent is hiring the best people in their field and letting them do their job. With Jersey Boys, he hired a lot of people from the show, there was a lot of trust put in us... He's an extremely kind, warm man, and he completely changed my life." Erich really felt moved by his work on the big screen.

Later, Erich talks about how he balances between TV, music, and stage. Over the summer when he starred in Waitress alongside Katharine McPhee, he was also filming Madame Secretary simultaneously. He would wake up and start filming at 5 am and perform on Broadway at night! As if that isn't enough, he is also constantly working on his own music and focusing on being the best performer he can be. We are impressed!
