Paul Ollinger On His Journey From Ivy League MBA To Comedy

Comedian, Ivy League MBA, and former Facebook sales leader Paul Ollinger stopped by the Lite FM studio to talk with Christine Nagy about his journey from business to comedy!

Paul was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended Rhodes College and borrowed $100k to get an MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School. However, he got more out of his experience than just a degree. During a business school talent show he performed stand-up for the first time.

Even though comedy was his true passion, he took the safer path, and found a steady job to help pay back his loans. Over the next 15 years, he worked in digital media for companies like, Yahoo! and Facebook where he was VP of West Coast Sales and one of the first 250 employees.

"After a couple of years of not doing stand-up, I finally decided I was going to write everyday and start all over again and go back to the open mics and that was 5 years ago... It's high-risk high-reward and that's why it's so fun and why it's such a rush."
