Oprah Winfrey has been endorsing Weight Watchers for years, by backing up the brand and promoting her 40 pound weight loss using the products. Oprah is one of its most famous board members...and she's apparently been missing too many company meetings. She has been put on notice for not attending at least 75-percent of meetings by the Board of Directors last year.
In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Weight Watchers says it expects directors to "attend and participate in all meetings and that occasionally a director may be unable to attend."
