iHeartRadio Celebrates Kosciuszko Bridge Debut With Light Show

The new Kosciuszko Bridge is finally opening, connecting the New York City boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens. The highly anticipated bridge will make its debut with a spectacular light show on Thursday, April 27, at 8:30 p.m. The special set will be devoted to the Empire State, and you definitely won't want to miss it.

If you can't make it out to see the light show in person, don't sweat it! You can live stream the whole thing at Facebook.com/GovernorAndrewCuomo

Governor Cuomo will be on hand to host the bridge's big debut. He's proud of the new bridge because it's the first major bridge built in NYC over the past 53 years. The brand new bridge also touts a high-tech LED lighting system, which is what is making the light show possible. According to the New York Daily News, the lights are part of Governor Cuomo's "New York Harbor of Lights" initiative that "will include all seven MTA-operated bridges and tunnels and the Port Authority’s George Washington Bridge."

The most exciting thing about Thursday is that light show will be play in tandem with iHeartRadio, with music airing on 106.7 Lite FM and Q104.3. You'll be able to have a completely immersive experience while celebrating the new bridge! Make sure you tune in at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 27!
