A Modern-Day "Dynasty" Reboot Is Happening

A remake of Dynasty is officially in the works! CNN reported that The CW has greenlit a new version of the popular 1980s soap, which wrapped its run on ABC back in 1989. The modern-day reimaging comes from executive producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, who created both notoriously popular teen dramas The OC and Gossip Girl. Just like the original show, the remake will chronicle the trials and tribulations of two wealthy feuding families, the Carringtons and the Colbys. The show will be told through the perspectives of two women at odds: one billionaire heiress Fallon Carrington, played by Elizabeth Gillies, and her soon-to-be stepmother Cristial, portrayed by Nathalie Kelley, a Hispanic woman marrying into the family.

Dynasty will premiere on The CW during the 2017-2018 TV season. Below is Elizabeth Gillies, who will be playing Fallon Carrington. We can't wait for the premiere!
