Childcare product company Britax has announced that they are recalling more than 200,000 car seat chest clips, because they pose as a serious choking hazard. The company explained that the center tab on the clip can break off into a small piece and be swallowed by young children while sitting in the seat. The recall includes three travel systems: B-Safe 35 & Travel Systems, B-Safe 35 Elite & Travel Systems and BOB B-Safe 35 by Britax, which were manufactured between November 1, 2015 and May 31. 2017. The affected models numbers can be found on Britax's website. The company also released a statement video about the voluntary recall.
There have been no choking injuries reported as a result of this recall.
