So, who doesn't love chocolate pudding? It's probably on of the very fist desserts we have as a child (I know I did) - and I rememeber my mother making it over the stove. Slowly stirring from whole milk, cocoa powder and sugar. The hardest part was waiting for it to cool in the fridge. (Sometimes, we didn't wait.....)
Most times, it comes pre-made in a cup, not that it's bad, but I wanted to make it from scratch and looked for a recipe. I like this one.
This recipe from the late, great cookbook author Richard Sax has everything one could ask for in a chocolate pudding—an intense flavor and a silky texture that's still firm enough to stand a spoon in.
