As we continue to welcome in the new year, the biggest stars in Hollywood are gearing up for a competitive awards season, beginning with the 2026 Golden Globes.

Led by comedian Nikki Glaser, who returned as host after her successful gig at the 2025 awards show, the 83rd Golden Globe Awards were held in Los Angeles on Sunday (January 11) to honor the best performances, unique creative decisions and memorable projects in film and television over the past year.

One Battle After Another led the night in nominations for film, earning nine total, including Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy, Best Director for Paul Thomas Anderson and Best Actor in a comedy for Leonardo DiCaprio. The White Lotus once again reigned supreme for TV, the third season racking up six nominations, such as Best Drama and five nods for individual acting performances from standouts like Walton Goggins and Aimee Lou Wood.
