Michael Urie On How 'Torch Song' Is Still Relevant 40 Years Later

This week on "In The Wings," Michael Riedel and Christine Nagy talk with actor Michael Urie who is currently starring in Harvey Fierstein's critically acclaimed Torch Song.

The play debuted in the late 70s and originally was a trilogy, but since has been edited down into one three hour evening. Michael Riedel asked Michael Urie about how a show from the 70s is still relevant today,  "I think it still feels like it was written yesterday or today or tomorrow. I think part of that is the universality of relationships for one, but also mothers and sons, or really mothers and anyone...I'm finding out (after performing on Broadway) about how problems are universal, and everyone knows what it's like to fight with their mothers." This show is timeless and everyone can relate, it's a must-see!
