5. 2024 Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting: A cornerstone of New York's holiday celebrations, the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting takes place on Wednesday, December 4th. Hosted by Kelly Clarkson, the ceremony will feature performances by top artists and the lighting of the majestic Norway spruce adorned with 50,000 LED lights. The festivities start at 7 PM and are broadcast live on NBC and Peacock. The 2024 Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree will be lit daily from 5am to midnight. On Christmas Eve the tree will be lit for 24 hours and on New Year's Eve it will be lit from 5am-9pm. The Tree will be on view through mid-January.​

This year the annual tree lighting takes place on Tuesday, December 3 at 6pm featuring: Tony Award winning performer Lea Salonga and performances by world-class skaters Mirai Nagasu, Ashley Cain, Kaitlin Hawayek, Jean-Luc Baker, Ryan Bradley, Ice Theatre of New York, Figure Skating in Harlem, and The Skyliners.
