The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation has announced its Class of 2024. To be eligible, artists
are required to have released their first record 25 years prior to Induction. Those elected for
induction in the following categories are - Performer Category: artists who have created music
whose originality, impact, and influence has changed the course of rock & roll. Five first time
nominees were elected, and the complete list, in alphabetical order, is:
Mary J. Blige - second nomination
Cher - first nomination
Dave Matthews Band - second nomination and winner of Fan Vote
Foreigner - first nomination
Peter Frampton - first nomination
Kool & The Gang - first nomination
Ozzy Osbourne - first nomination
A Tribe Called Quest - third nomination

The 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction will be held on October 19th at the Rocket
Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland. It will stream live on Disney+ with an ABC special airing at a
later date and available on Hulu the next day.
The seven artists who were nominated but failed to garner enough votes are:
Lenny Kravitz - sixth in Fan Vote
Mariah Carey - eighth
Sinéad O' Connor - ninth
Oasis - 10th
Sade - 11th
Jane's Addiction - 12th
Eric B. & Rakim - 15th and last in Fan Vote
